“Not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced. - James Baldwin

My focus is on holding space for you so that you can achieve healing and empowerment. I am a sojourner on your healing path.

You may be wondering how you are possibly going to put your life back together. Or, maybe, perhaps you’re praying that you can finally put the vice down. Maybe the heartbreak of loss and unexpected endings is eating you up. We might be a good fit for one another if you’re queer, poly, considering recovery, interested in a somatics based practitioner, and vibe with crystals and energy. Whatever it is, let’s share a cup of coffee and figure it out together. If you are committed to your wellness and have a desire to seek restoration for a weary soul, hit my line. Let’s Get Well, Y’all!

As a trained addictions counselor, I work with people who are experiencing emotional pain and want it to stop. We find that pain in a variety of ways and the suffering feels completely overwhelming. I get it. I overstand. Let’s turn and face that something inside of that desperately wants to be healed.

I’m always eager to integrate holistic, intuitive, and eclectic methods including dream therapy and bibliotherapy. As a Focusing Oriented Therapist (a somatics based practice), which comes from the Gendlin school of thought. This allows clients an opportunity to get out of their heads, into their bodies, and engage polyvagal regulation. This is particularly helpful for clients struggling with emotional regulation, trauma, and coping skills. My 2.5 year FOT training included Serge Prengel (Proactive Change & Active Pause), Leslie Ellis, and Jan Winhall. In this training program, we focused heavily on trauma and co-occurring disorders. You can listen to more about my call to serve through Focusing in this interview with Serge posted on The International Focusing Institute website.

In addition, we looked at creating a more grounded sense of self as one recovers from trauma and impulse control. Also, through my additional training and certification with Leslie, I explored how trauma and anxiety show up in our dreams and nightmares. The dream focusing provides an even deeper context for addressing these issues. Additionally, I am a CCTP (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional) and CCTS-A (Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist-Addiction).

Further, I often use the expressive arts in my practice with clients particularly bibliotherapy. Clients have also found the use of sand play to be helpful at understanding patterns and increasing resiliency.

I value authenticity, integrity, and transparency. You are invited to show up as your full self, authentically, unapologetically, and without hesitation. We ground in mutual practices of affirmation. I expect integrity and offer that to you without reservation. The only way to grow is by facing the shadows so we can bring life.
