Amber Baumgarden LSCSW

Hi! My name is Amber! I’m a Virtual, private practice, EMDR Therapist, and LSCSW who is here to provide a person-centered approach to counseling and therapy for individuals, couples, and families. Some of my focuses are supporting Polyamory people, LGBTQIA+ members, Transgender and gender questioning people, members of the kink community, sex workers, and people practicing other forms of non-monogamy including swinging. I have formal training in trauma therapy and working with those with Substance Use Disorders, clients battling Weight Stigmas, clients with Attachment trauma, and religious Trauma.

I strive to center my practice around anti-racism and intersectional feminism while also trying to stay aware of my privileges and how they might affect my clients. I am neurodivergent and love connecting with my neurodivergent clients in our similarities and differences! I use an eclectic approach to therapy based on each individual’s personal needs. I’ve also practiced polyamory and Ethical non-monogamy for nearly a decade. I love being able to wrap my personal experiences along with my formal training of support non-monogamous clients into my practice!

I’m also a licensed cosmetologist in Missouri since 2005. Feel free to ask me all the hair and skin care questions!
