Nicole Sonnefeldt

I am a kink- poly- and sex work- informed and allied feminist therapist who specializes in the treatment of trauma, and concerns related to sex and relationships. I have a passion for and special interest in reducing shame and stigma as it relates to human sexuality. I work with people ages 18+ individually and with couples, including LGBTQ+ and non-monogamous couples. I am EMDR trained, on my way to EMDR certification, and also utilize mindfulness based techniques and ego state therapy (“parts work”) with clients, although I tailor my approach to fit each client’s unique needs. I am a Gottman Level 1 certified couple’s therapist and pull from the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy while working with couples, utilizing what I learn in my couple’s work with individuals experiencing relational concerns.
