Catherine Banks

I am a licensed professional clinical counselor in central San Diego providing solution-focused, person centered, and strengths-based therapy to address anxiety and mood disorders, as well as communication and defining healthy relationships. I also work with neurodivergence and trauma reprocessing, as well as boundary related stressors. I work using elements from emotionally focused therapy, attachment based theory, internal family systems, polyvagal and somatic processing, and mindfulness, while keeping multicultural and intergenerational systems, and social justice issues in mind. I work with a variety of ages from as young as 4 years old to older adults in individual, couples, or family therapy settings. My practice is poly-friendly and kink aware, trauma informed, and open to LGBTQ+, gender non-comforming, cisgender and heterosexual individuals.
