I (pronouns: she/her/hers) am a clinical mental health counseling trainee at Antioch University. I am excited and honored to be part of your healing journey!
I am passionate about LGBTQIA+ issues and working from a trauma-informed lens to provide individualized care with everyone I work with. My therapy style is person-centered and guided by each individual’s goals and needs. I believe in creating a safe space with everyone to foster self-exploration and growth. As an advocate for justice and equity in mental health care, I know how important it is to acknowledge and address culture, privilege, race, gender, size, ability, sexuality, and the intersections of your unique identities and experiences in this world.
As a nonjudgmental guide, I will work with you to build your self-compassion, resilience, and strengths as we tackle hard things together. I consider my therapy style eclectic, and I draw from models such as DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), TFCBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Sex Therapy, Feminist Therapy, and LGBTQ+ affirmative therapies. My experiences as a polyamorous, pansexual, and plus-size person drive my therapeutic passions. Although therapy often involves working on difficult things, I believe therapy doesn’t always have to be serious. Laughter and play are tools for healing, and I enjoy bringing both into my sessions.
