Sarah Wells

I have over 8 years of experience working in the field of social work, and over 13 working with children and families (Former Preschool Teacher). I have had the unique opportunity of working with diverse populations and in multiple different specialties including: Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT), Perinatal Day Treatment (dual diagnosis-substance use and secondary mental health), Foster Care, children’s mental health in a medical setting, adults, and children and family work in a community setting. I have the most experience working with anxiety/depression, life adjustment/transitions, family and relational challenges, and complex trauma and abuse. I also have experience working within the LGBTQIA+ and polyamorous communities. I utilize a person centered, trauma informed, multicultural, systemic and integrated approach to counseling. I primarily employ evidence-based techniques, including CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.
