Valerie Darling LMHC, NCC (They/Them, She/her)

I have been a fully licensed mental health counselor for 3 years and has worked in the mental health field in various capacities for nearly 20 years. They are also trained in EMDR.

Their passion is working with populations who have a history of being pathologized by therapists and the mental health field such as: the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with various relational orientations (i.e. polyamory, power exchange, and other marginalized relationship styles), and neurodiverse individuals. These identities often under-represented and struggle to find therapists who are non-judgmental and identity affirming.

I has a wide variety of experience working with all ages and has worked in inpatient, outpatient, school, and corrections environments. They use a combination of therapeutic orientations and interventions including EMDR, CBT, and motivational interviewing.
