Dr. Alan Johnson is a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas. He earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan State University in 2009 and his master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2011 and 2014, respectively. He has received training and been employed in a variety of clinical settings, which have included residential treatment centers (RTCs), intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), university counseling centers, private practices, and nursing homes. His primary specialties include gender, sexual, and romantic minorities (GSRM), addiction and recovery, concerns related to eating, weight, and size (CREWS), and psychological evaluations.
Through an integrative approach utilizing humanistic-existential, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic theories as well as other therapeutic techniques, Dr. Johnson’s goal is to create a safe and accepting environment that allows clients to achieve their goals based upon the foundations of embracing diversity, promoting change, and fostering authenticity. Through research, presentations, and involvement with nonprofit organizations, he is committed to reducing stigma associated with mental health, identifying as a gender, sexual, and/or romantic minority, and HIV/AIDS.
Four Stones Collaborative Group is a fee-for-service practice. This means that clients pay the full fee for services rendered at the time the services are provided. You may pay with cash, credit card, check, or flex spending/prepaid medical cards. At the time of service and at your request, Four Stones can provide you with a billing statement that you may use to file a claim with your insurance company. Most clients do receive some reimbursement for services depending upon the type of insurance coverage they have. Most insurance companies will also allow services rendered to count toward clients’ deductible costs.
